Track 1. He Who Rides Immolated Horses- The EP starts off with a low buzzing strum. There is a slow trickling in of a heavy foreboding presence. The drums have a powerful cadence about them, tight and equally dynamic. The guitars are heavy, but they seem a bit chaotic. However there is an edge of your seat feeling here, almost as is your pulse is stopped in it's tracks. The vocals reach down deep to find something wicked, withdrawn and completely mad. One thing is for sure it's got a unique sound and flavor about it. Some parts eclectic other parts crazy and off the wall, but with thick saturated distortion. You almost can't make out the actuality of the guitar riffs, but the messy sound of the music itself which seems a bit unorganized, seems to make a bit of sense as you listen on and just sort of step back. There's a bigger crazier picture here. After some vocal harmonies which were quite interesting. The track itself calms down reducing the groove to nothing more than a minimal tight beat with a slithering bass guitar providing the back bone, and an echoing clean guitar that sounds as if it was recorded down in some narrow alley. There's quite a minimalist feel. Out of nowhere, practically without warning the music just erupts like a pissed off volcanic insanity, thrusting angry metal towards the sky and all about. The music reaches another level with it's speed and melody. It's a ride that is at times smooth and minimalistic, but at others quite in your face and grinding to the core. Your ears are drenched thoroughly with the lead solo that slides into the mix, just next to that fucking crazy double bass drum that has completely lost it's mind. A very creative piece of music, but I have not been a big fan of the transition from slow to fast and back and forth though there are some odd but entertaining parts within this track.
Track 2. Unconditional- The song begins with an all out assault that seems to want to run in multiple random directions. It feels almost like there is no distinctive song structure other than fucking utter chaos. At least you can hear it somewhat clearly. Vocals are quite powerful. The music cleans up in places and you begin to sort of get a feel for the track, and it's well traveled crazy natured self. The music quickly returns to it's hyper nature, it's just completely gone off the tracks. The timing changes again to something slower and very minimalistic. A slow echoing guitar strum is backed by some good tight drumming and a sweet fucking lead guitar lick. The transition's between fast to slow seems a bit better with this track. One second it's a splendor of complete chaos and madness, the next it's a treasure, a gem worth keeping forever. Your mind is once again exposed to the onslaught of something fucked up beyond all reality. The eclectic grooves the odd melodies, and the timing which could drive any metal head mad. Vocals which create a presence of souring aggression, but an outright straight forward kick to the throat. He's good with his screams, and the clean vocals, ton's of passion there.

Track 3. The Scythe In My Heart- I like the change here, a clean strumming acoustic it seems to reach towards the darkest depths of your own mind. It makes you wonder on. Vocal's enter a good spot. I am enjoying the harmony vocals. A provoking mix here, very passionate vocals with a bright sounding acoustic. It's quite passionate, very endearing lyrical content, intelligent and well thought out, love it. I really like how the female vocalist comes to the fore front within the harmonies, perfect there.
Track 4. Lark's Head- A slow yet hard hitting drum beat begins the final track of the album. It's tasteful, and establishes a cool heavy feel here. They continue on with the eclectic but well thought out drum parts, nothing impresses me more than that. I hate boring drums. A roar makes itself known. There's almost seemingly a chorus of vocalists singing. It's as if they sing of a cause of some sort. It's got a definite dark brooding feeling about it. The track opens up, with a bit of a progressive feeling bring some forthright ass kicking melody. The vocals sort of just rip it over the top, digging the hell out of that vocal melody. Though I wish the vocals were more pronounced within the mix. The guitar parts just come to life, bringing a serene yet burning flame of mystical thunder with them. There's sort of a mix of the chaotic parts and the progressive parts here, though it's fucking relentless.
Overall this music is quite intense at times, quite creative and thoroughly heavy and eclectic as hell. My only complaints I wish the guitar parts could be better deciphered in the mix, as well as the vocals. Good crazy music other than that, sounds random at times, but quite interesting at others.
