Track 1. Hostile Takeover- A zapping warning grows into your ears. Suspense filled digital melodies dance about bringing a truly remarkable presence onto your ears. And then a mighty distortion begins to rip, and tear your ear drums apart. At first the vocals sound a bit crazy, but things kick into a higher gear quite nicely. Loving this fast pace. Its a superb overdriven yet psychotic mess of creative freedom. Heavy as fucking hell! This song does nothing but rip, that's a sweet fucking lead guitar lick there! The vicious vocals run about through the mix with a massive presence. Just glad that the song changes directions multiple times, it's like a kick ass guessing game of metal. Thoroughly powerful, and an outright ride that absolutely kicks ass, and then some. Great track to open the album with here. And I must say, that's a SICK god damn guitar solo! The music hooks back around with the main rhythm quite nicely.
Track 2. 10 30- Instantly tasty riffs are thrown your way establishing a force of metal thunder that is ready to roar, and it does. The music is extremely tight and very well timed, via the dynamic drumming. The vocals sound good, as do the backing vocals, there's a quality about them both raw and an echoing spirit at times, it's a good mix. A very hard hitting rush of insane flavor here. Man digging the fuck out of these guitars, loud, loaded and fucking ready to kick your face in. They've got some very catchy songs that just slithers about the mix from start to finish. I don't really get what the song is about, but who the fuck cares, it's just got that feel about it that its a rush of awesome.

Track 3. Slowber- A thick bass starts things here setting the table with an attitude of total grit. It's a complete and utter take no shit track. There's a thorough dirtiness that just get's all over the place. A dark passionate crazy pair of vocals really hammer things out well, providing both a passion and a sense of worth. There's a punchy groove that you find yourself following along to for a few moments, but the music dies down giving a more heavy, crunching minimalistic beat. The double bass seems to take over, you know something crazy, heavy and fucked up is upon the horizon. All you can think about it, how hard you want to head bang to this, how much do I want to thrust my devils horns? The music settles back into a slow but very low end crunch heavy flow, from there it becomes more eclectic. A winding noise begins to strain in the distance, it's a suspenseful moment that echo's within your mind. It's almost like a lingering fear like your waiting for the end. The music fades out on that heavy handed bass line and the passionate vocals.

Track 4. Yellowhead- The next track has a slow and off kilter type of feel to it. The lead guitar screams about melodically before giving way to a thundering roar upon the drums. The dirty guitar re-emerges along with the soul splitting vocals with a bit of a classic metal feel here. A slow but catchy and tasty groove is well delivered. Vocal melodies are again different yet well sustained and forth right with a raw honesty about them. The music seems to wrap around and twist quite well together. That is one muddy fucking solo, some definate sickness here! Love it when it sort of comes more towards the front of the mix. But of course the song twists back around to the original hook. Bringing you full circle, nice harmonic parts!
Track 5. Incision- The first thing that jumps into your mind when the track begins is you get that gut feeling that a feeling of slick anticipation feel's the air. A fear, a relentless punch that you want to get away from, but you CAN'T get away from. That's what these riffs, the groove and these thick, yet scorching bass lines bring forth. The music begins to alternate a bit, between melodic, aggressive and technical, becoming thus quite eclectic it's a great change of pace. I am really digging how they throw things about, adding an intense flavor to their music. The whole time I've been listening to this track I've been tapping my toe, loving it. The track explodes again, just at the right time bringing onto you some quite kick ass aggression, of course the music flows out towards a proper ending as well.
Track 6. Shoegazer- Another slow yet heavy and catchy groove here. There's a quick hook that just grabs you. Vocal's enter at just the right spot. I like though how the singing backs down for more of the melodic moments to take charge, they don't seem to over do things, but they seem to get them just right in places. I like the back and forth between the guitar and bass, quite awesome. One side converses with the other creating an affect that just feeds the other and keeps things going with an epic thunder. Quite the thumping bass and drums, this shit jumps about giving the feel in the air of excitement yet your in complete awe of it also. It rocks, without a doubt! Even the seemingly cleaner melodic guitar parts have an escape that you dive into with a welcoming hello, that just invites you to stay forever, or well at least as long as the track is, or until that kick ass catchy guitar riff bounces back in, like NOW! Love it! Great ending love how it subtly fades away with the melodies between the guitar and bass, quite superb.

Track 7. Common Thread- Something grows into the air, likely digital but quickly your consumed by the heavy jam of pulsating metal. The vocals begin their trance that glides just right over the mix, with melody and passion. This track seems a bit more drum heavy yet with more eclectic beats. Some of the guitar squeals that are thrown in create a welcome escape, that flavor of thrash just reaches out and grabs you! Is that a drum solo? I like. The music begins to trudge into a crazy territory, but it sort of hooks back around to the main flow of the music. It's almost like the track does not know where the fuck it's going, but it's quite hard hitting, and it seems as foreboding as hell! Love these vocals all around. Interesting lyrical subject matter. The music ends up just dying out on some kick ass grooves, bringing the aggression one final time.
Track 8. Rotting Alive- A very impressive opening with that drum intro. A fast paced and catchy groove is what your suddenly treated to. Riff's and tasty bass lines surround you. Rhyme scheme and enunciation between the groove of the music and the vocals is quite excellent with this track. The guitar riffs that are as dirty as can be just wind about in the most creative possible ways, with an absolute crunch. When the vocals sing the title track it's almost like an anthem or some sort. Digging the chugging! The music hit's a next level bringing you along for the sick ride! Your riding shotgun as the music just slams into your face with the sheer force of a ton of TNT. The beat's are consistently heavy, tight and creative, as are the rhythm parts. It's almost as if there's a mission to leave you rotting alive, mission accomplished!
Track 9. Nova Gomorrah- Another very welcome change of pace, with these clean melodic yet creepy guitar licks. A thundering storm seems to gather in the background. The wind has a very eerie whistle about it, definitely a horror type situation is rising, something evil is coming! The music has an explosive moment bringing with it, the passionate yet far reaching vocals. A slow yet cascading jam, that hit's heavy as usual, with hard crunching riffs that turn suddenly towards a fuck you to the sky. That insane quality is what's great about this band, they can turn on a dime and bring you within a rope's length of tasting hell itself on the tip of your ear drums. The vocals begin to echo more, creating a sound wave the moves across the track, things escalate again, love it! Aggression that totally feeds upon itself, creating a kick ass ride of heavy metal. And just when you think it's done, the music turn's towards another direction. It's like you stepped towards another song, another very catchy rhythm section, but other hooks come back into the frame that say other ways, still though very good songs here! I like how the vocals contrast against the low riding groove of the music. The vocals are on the high and dirty side with a subtle echo, in which they stand out quite well. It's damn sure thundering about with the presence of a whatever the hell the song's title really means, perhaps a Nova? The music eventually fades upon it's current groove, where the drumming provides a massively impressive beat, and the last thing you hear is the guitars feedback.
Track 10. Rats- A very violin strums and very quickly the metal is twisted into the frame almost in a fashion of complete genius. The music trickles and moves about in a fury that keeps you quite in tune with it's forceful and aggressive nature, that is very well defined. Very evil sounding harmony vocals, but there's an epic quality about them. Very punchy rhythms, extremely tight. The track slows down, loving the time change. There's a slow burning head bang going here of course with a guitar hook that twists and turns about just right. They reach that second level again raising complete hell! I really enjoyed those lung tearing roar's from the vocals.

Track 11. Wormwood- The last track of this album opens up making you think it's an extension of the previous track. A clean guitar part begins establishing a very interesting melody that just strokes the most open thoughts of my own mind. The vocal's are quite clean and passionate here with a heavy yet endearing feeling about them, the conveyance is solemn that with deep meaning. A slither begins to cusp up into the frame of the track. The bass guitar which has been jumping about quietly invites with it those tight yet very crisp and powerful drums. And just like that the whining yet sick as fuck lead guitar announces it's mighty presence. And just so perfectly the clean guitar melody plays one last time, before a kick ass metal groove takes over. And you just know it. Your about to get your ass kicked! It's now head banging time, if your not, then there's something seriously wrong with you. It's a slow yet low to the ground heavy low bearing groove that carry's itself quite well, with a powerful stroke of musical genius. Loving that epic guitar solo. Very catchy track, excellent way to ends this album. Some of the syncopation of the music begins to change more where the music eventually takes on that fading presence. And your finally there, that moment where everything dies, the guitar ends up as a tiny squeal in your ears in the distance of the track, good ending overall.
It's a very tasteful, creative, and eclectic album. There's some themes and complete feelings of out right kick ass emotions that are thrown forward with complete force. I'd really say my only complaint is maybe the guitar riffs in places were not high enough in the mix, the bass guitar was excellent through the entire album, though I do wish the guitar like I said was more pronounced, other than that. everything else was great. Drums, vocals, etc. Good stuff! Rating 9/10
