Track 1. Pressure- A grinding riff begins this, with a slow and careful approach it brings a friend, they mean business. A dirty yet tasteful groove commences. Loud and bombastic drums bang about a very eclectic beat. The music slows down a bit introducing the vocals which are somewhat clean but very melodic. There's a great amount of passion there, clarity is superb. There's an endearing quality about this music, that just becomes so gratifying. The music has a slow flow, though it's quite meaningful. The melody of the track just stretches over the span of your being. Digging the slow down with the crashes, to just let things ring out. Harmony guitar riffs belt out until, a wonderful clean acoustic guitar begins to strum about. An almost sad melody plays, but it's one that just says. I shall NEVER give up. The beat slithers back into the fray. Slowing a dripping and dribbling beat comes back to live with an aggression that could strike forth upon any force meaning to do injustice. Very interesting how the track ends. It just has a fade out, but quick and almost like the power was cut.
Track 2. Suffer Abandonment- Dirt and mud are tossed about with these opening riffs. A massive mean crunch slings out the torture for a moment. A slow tempered yet powerful groove. There's an anthem like theme here that just reaches into your soul. I really like the lead vocals, as well as these harmonies. There's a powerful essence of Metal here. Excellent transition between clean and heavy, etc. There's sort of a drum solo, of epic proportions. It bangs about as if it's a stuttering yet cool and excited heart. Before long the original hooks of the song come back with a BANG. The music finishes out nicely, eventually the track fades from an echo of the vocals.
Track 3. Vein- Great opening riffs, it's almost like you stepping right into the action. More clean guitars, they accent the music quite well. A slow yet punching drumbeat bangs about with these gripping riffs. The music cleans up, great vocals etc, I just wish there were some more dirty vocals. Lots of clean guitar parts here, wish there would have been some heavier parts, though the clean stuff is good as well. The music does eventually get heavy again, though its a slow crawl of dirty metal. It pounds about alternating as if traveling between space and time, two completely different dimensions in one exact place. Things eventually fade out on the slow dying guitar riffs.
Track 4. Solitary Martyr- An instant crunch and rush of heavy pain. It gets your head banging and your devil's horns flying. There's a powerful groove here, hop on for the ride, things do begin to slow down though. The groove dies down only to become a clean guitar that just plucks about single notes. An explosion of sudden thundering distortion catches your attention. The vocals enter with their clear and distinct, passionate presence. Every once in a while there are tiny parts where the music drags, but it picks up and get's absolutely thrilling. Love these DRUMS! The music itself is just so much inline with the song title. Love the lyrical subject matter, it's quite impressive. The track eventually ends, parting ways with riffs that just hammer away at your being thoroughly.
Track 5. Only Imagined- Opening the last track is an acoustic guitar, which plays a very nice riff. A banging force of metal just COMES ALIVE. A slow force of life grinding matter. Love it! Heavy as hell as times, even though they throw in very meaningful clean parts here and there. Perfect vocal and guitar enunciation. Excellent track here, it digs down and buries itself in the ground pounding out its beats and riffs. That double bass is just utterly relentless. Love that acoustic melody that just runs straight into the EPIC dual harmonic guitars. So much damn talent here, the melodies themselves are so completely RICH. It's something that shall stay with the listener including myself. This will definitely not be the last time I listen to this album, it's going in the ipod!
At first I thought ok, bring on some heavy dirty vocals, with a band name like Death White, or bring on some more heavy guitars. But the more you listen, the more you realize how well the clean vocals stand against everything else so well. They transition their music around nicely creating tiny masterpieces. Some of the heavy and dirty riffs could have been a bit better I think, but some were just fucking amazing though. A majority of the melodies here are the types that stay with you, long after the record has stopped. Just sheer high quality music here. Rating 10/10
