Track 1. Poisonous Existence in Reawakening- When you push play your immediately thrust into the flames. After a shitty day this is EXACTLY the type of music you need to listen to. Fast, aggressive, sick fucking twisted riffs that wrap around your skull and stab your eyes. Loving the tight and powerful drumming. The vocals have such a pure roaring quality, just so dynamically bad ass! I never honestly though I'd did death metal, much less extreme metal, but I love this stuff! The winds about in a crazy notion, moving and grooving as if it's a living breathing monster or dark entity. You just get a rush of awesome when you listen to this track, and the moment it ends your thinking... FUCK!!! I want more! Brutal, yet creative and very catchy. There's a straight up raw sound here that I have not heard many places before, it's a very passionate yet in your face neck breaker. It kicks complete ass, and then some.
Track 2. Unraveling Paradise- The immense creativity and thorough talent of this band is heard again right from the start of this track. It establishes its presence quite well. Deliciously evil riffs! Digging the hell out of the enunciation between the guitar and vocals. Ben take's it up another notch again with his deep growling vocals, somehow summoning Satan within the music, bringing the music to a completely different level. This music is not a taste of awesome, it's the place where awesome was first discovered and made. Sheer brutal force, an aggressive smack to the side of the head that could crack your spine. This track was full of energy just like the first one, loaded with tight rhythm pieces, but it's constantly moving and keeping your attention forthright and steadily glued. Their passion and power are truly uncanny.
Track 3. Baring Teeth for Revolt- When the crash snaps into place and that first guitar riff jumps off the fretboard of Sammy, you just want to thrust your devil's horns to the sky. And steady you go with your air guitar trying to play along to the truly impressive guitar riffs. They dance around like a crazy maniac on fire and begging to die. Loving the syncopation of this song. The music changes direction, which I love, going into a more insanely fast yet sick fucking direction. It's as if the music was lit on fire. Ah man, and those vocals, with that solo... EPIC SHIT HERE!!! It's like your brain is on fire and your enjoying every damn second of it. You live, you die, it's all the same, excellent tasting METAL is all that matters and that's what this is!!!

Track 4. Reanimated Sacrifice- The song begins with thick chugging riffs that sound like the beginning of WW3. I love the hooks, they wrap around, twist into something both sick and insane. Excellent catchy drum beats as well. Tremendous and powerful vocal melodies, ton's of passion. The guitar riffs begin to reach a second level of bad ass, its as if they want to reach out and just grab your neck and thoroughly squeeze the life from you. Digging the hell out of that sweet neck cutting solo. I can not begin to explain how impressed I am with the bands overall tightness, as well as with the drums and bass. Kudos to Zack and James as far as the back bone of the bands sound. The guitar riffs just continue to scorch, no matter the direction they twist towards. There are fierce melodies and powerful vocals that sound like they escaped hell with a force and fury to control all of humanity.
Track 5. Heaven's Crumbling Wall's of Pity- This track starts of a bit slower, but with the same wall of thick distortion, however things speed up to an acceptable level that your used to with this band. The vocal's enter with a punch to the throat and continue on like a storm that scatters over the realm of your mind, adding an impacting wonder to the melodic surrounds of the track. The riffs echo about with their sick themes. Is that a second guitar that's dubbed in? Love it. Sick shit here. I'd say they went to a second level with things here, but they continuously play at a high level non stop. The track slows down a bit, with screams echoing, your treated to some tasty fucking riffs that slice and grind your soul to pieces. The music moves along in a way that all you know is your going to have this melody dancing in your head later.. as you try to sleep.
Track 6. Cold Earth Consumed in Dying Flesh- The music starts of slow, and pretty damn cool and creepy. It's delicate yet delicious and written very well. The sound of distortion begins to trickle in with a massive dose of flames gushing towards your ears. Ben lets out a mighty growl that just echo's about, it's dirty it's fucking awesome. Immensely POWERFUL vocals, excellent backing vocals as well. It's slow but still catchy, brutal, and sick as hell. Raw yet with a tasty groove. Crisp drums that are extremely tight. The bass lines seems to stay in the pocket and hold things down superbly! Love how those EVIL vocals just stretch over the track. And the song just BURSTS wide open as the speed enters... lighting everything ON FIRE. You just entered hell, and you just shook hands with the devil. If you were not head banging before, your sure as hell doing it NOW!!! LOVE THIS SHIT!!! This is METAL! I totally dig their ability to transition from fast to slow and back and forth, they extremely good at that!

Track 7. FBS- MORE, sick fucking riffs begin this! And James thrusts forth that thick slithering bass line bad ass! There's an EVIL crunch here, a melody with the force of an army of the dead with a never ending hunger. The vocals are rapid fire and impressive as hell per usual. Complete utter intensity. They go from flat out perfect aggression to catchy groovy pieces, love how they twist things around. and the guitar solo whip's into the track with perfect timing. Dammit Sammy RIPS!! Love that vocal affect that seemed to be like the band or the sound itself was just surrounded by what? Maybe demons, who knows but it's awesome. The music rolls on with a kick as thunder but it suddenly dies upon a crash. Bad ass!
Track 8. Nocturnal Conjuration of the Accursed- A jagged thumping of thick riffs run together to create a tasty opening groove. The vocals jump about over the track with great and wonderful power. Lyrical subject matter as usual, is quite interesting. Ah man, they continue with that second level. They are completely relentless. Those riffs just punch and grind your bones into a find dust, and your more than happy to oblige. The riffs just unfold perfectly at the end with their sweet timing of thick juicy dark distortion, thus ending the track just right! Damn Good Shit!
Track 9. Schadenfreude- Utter aggression with absolute and powerful melody convey an assault upon your ears. It's hunting season for your soul. I am really enjoying the direction that the flavor of the riffs are moving towards with this track. Bass lines and drum parts have also evolved a bit over the life of the album, they all sound better the more you hear them, nothing sounds the same. Everything has a new tasty design to it. Dark, expressive, and sheer excellence. Kick ass alternating riffs there, they go from one good place towards another. Ripping your heart from your chest and handing it back to you on a platter with the blood gushing out and leaving you all alone with a smile. Totally love hey they end start their tracks, how the music flows perfectly throughout the track and how the song's end, but you never truly want this stuff to end.
Track 10. Externalize This Hidden Savagery- The last track of the album shows not signs of letting up on anything. It just like the previous one's establishes its melody and aggression very well in the beginning. The vocals all around are completely just EPIC, both the lead and the backing vocals, completely outstanding. More delicious riffs here. A pounding thunder that never gives in, they want more. Love the lead solo just cutting through their like a mad man on a mission! The music rolls on and you just really... all that come's to your mind are three words. EPIC, AWESOME, AGGRESSION. The album ends in the same well timed fashion as the other songs.
And it leaves you.... WANTING MORE. Can't wait til the next Goatwhore album... THEY FUCKING RULE! Two words that sum up their sound?... Organically Raw! It's a beast that's alive and ready to tear you to pieces and completely consume you! From start to finish with this album your are utterly captivated, in tune, and entrusted with complete kick ass music that's just thrust upon you with wonderful fury. The song title's and lyrical subject matter as well are very dark and intelligent love it all! Rating 10/10
