"Well kids today's review I'm including Wikipedia definition for folks who haven't played Oregon Trail, Also this helps you understand where this fantastic band is coming from. "Dysentery is an inflammation of the intestine causing diarrhea with blood.[1][2] Other symptoms may include fever, abdominal pain,[3]and rectal tenesmus (a feeling of incomplete defecation). It is caused by a number of types of infection such as bacteria, viruses, parasitic worms, or protozoa. It is a type of gastroenteritis. The mechanism is an inflammatory disorder of the intestine, especially of the colon." Now with that out of the way the name describes just how Crushing their brand of Grindcore/Death Metal with with groove driven beats pummeling through the mix like the kick pedals were swiftly crushing your rib cage. With the utmost intensity Dysentery the Boston Quintet has released their third full length album "Fragments" via Comatose music, after purchasing this record you will find the jewel case shattered into Fragments because it couldn't withstand the raw aggression withheld in the compact disc it was surrounding.

Now their first track Onset starts off with a light hum and hits you with some nice slow chunk quickly grooving into mid tempo that gets your head bopping than all the sudden it moves to this juicy breakdown and you look down and your just straight moving and stomping about.

This album will get you moving, at a whopping 32 minutes and 18 seconds all thirteen songs are nonstop speedy, bowel wrenching brutality with a voice that will call birds to the sea and pigs to they sky!!!!

One vocal highlight is the chorus to the track "Grave Evolution" where Scott Savaria demonstraits his Chris Barnes esc Baritone growls with such guttural glory he could probably stir paint with his voice. Drummer Eric Taranto displays such righteous foot work and expansive and flavorful fills in songs like "Invocation of Parallel Bloodlet" and "Neurological Snare" at some points it's almost like tribal drumming with some flair added in by the cowbell which always makes me get super stoked, ain't no party like a Grindcore cowbell party cause a Grindcore Cowbell party don't stop!!!!

What a tasty breakdown on "Veiled Narcissism" Brutal as the portal to Hell in an Easter basket, Their vocalist lets out a Frothing growling scream that holds pitch for so long he sounds like A possessed Cricket!! Guitarist "Blue" Spinazola delivers such mammoth like crushing riffage through the whole album but Some of the riffage on Songs like " Within Descending Skies They Will Suffer" he throws out Facemelting riffsThat are reminicent to Jack Owens days in old school "Cannibal Corpse" and Rob Barrett's old school "Malevolent Creation" days. Within the amount of time passed during the duration of listening to this album I have disturbed my living quarters in such a way my dog and cats are nowhere in sight and I unknowingly smashed barfoot a can of Pringles while drinking 3 beers so if that doesn't describe the brutality of Dysentery than all you can do to remain one with your metal loving Inner child Than go listen to Dysentery because a tsunami constructed from blood and Farts couldn't stop the aural violation "Fragments" presents. I give it a 4 out of 5 pentacles."
